Stories from our volunteers

Rufaro is a lovely young woman who contacted LaunchPad for guidance on how to get equipped and involved. She had given her heart to the Lord at a previous Christmas production and exhibited genuine and contagious love for Jesus Christ. She was eager to participate in one of our Christmas outreaches to underprivileged children and families.

Rufaro mentioned that she was saving money to buy 11 tickets for November's Christmas production so that her work colleagues could discover God's love as she had. Later on, she shared her passion to understand God's Word more deeply so that she could help more people experience Him as their Saviour. Despite a shortage of funds, we encouraged Rufaro to apply at Hatfield Training Centre and were delighted to hear that she has been accepted!

Here are Rufaro's own words about her experience:

Thank you for helping me with additional tickets for the Christmas production. My colleagues loved it and some are joining me for the service this Sunday. God is always good and always prevails. I became terribly sick that weekend but I came with them regardless. They could not understand why I felt the need to go to church even though I was sick. I believe because I put my own needs aside, God won hearts that night. Thank you again for making my wish possible …

After your response to my last email I applied for Ministry Training School on a partial bursary. I am happy to say the Lord not only answered my prayer to get educated in His Word but in December He confirmed the area of ministry I would get involved in.

My passion has been to work in the restoration of women and in December I found myself ministering to women from many walks of life .I am indebted to the Lord for the purpose He has put upon my life and grateful for the favour He continuously showers on me.
