Missionaries

As part of our call to mobilize believers to the nations, we support missionaries called to different parts of the world. Currently we have missionaries operating in at least 14 countries. Join a sending cell and become part of a team of people involved in the missionary's life in different ways, either through prayer, communication, helping with logistics, finances, moral support or re-enty.

Sending Cell

What is a Sending Cell?
The sending cell is a group of delegates, individuals, families or couples who are engaged in the support of a specific missionary or missionary family. The Cell is limited in numbers so that each participant is vibrantly involved in the thrust to take the Gospel to every people on earth. Each member of the cell has specific duties, giving them a place of responsibility, and each is accountable to the others for the efficient operation of the cell in its functions. The Cell is not just a resource for a missionary but a conduit of God’s provision from the wider church and community.
The function of the sending cell is very closely tied to the activity and needs of the missionary it serves and so each one will be different.

How a sending cell operates?
Each missionary or missionary family has a sending cell to support them, physically, spiritually and emotionally. A sending cell consists of a cell convenor (cell leader) and then 6 coordinators, each being responsible for a certain function of need. These six coordinators each relate to a group of people (the senders) who support them in their responsible function.
The coordinators meet on an ad hock basis with each other under the leadership of the cell convenor. The senders, only meet all together when the missionary is back home. All communication is done via phone and email. IMD will liase with the missionary and the coordinators to monitor and oversee the operation of the cell.
